• Sitting Bull (1831-1890)
• Hat (lifespan unknown)
Based on a photo from the Western History Department, Denver Public Library.
Also included in this post is the 'J, K, & L' portion of the critter alphabet. At this rate, I should have all twenty-six letters done by mid-2009.
Peace to you all, and may you wear your hats in good health.

Great portrait here! No bull! =sorry)
And your alphabet is coming along beautifully- you'll have to publish a book of it!!
Love your subject and illustration, as I always do! Well done!
Ummm, Sitting Bull looks beautiful tonight, and what an amazing face, and a wonderful rendering by you Twisselman, wow!
Love the letters, especially Joy the Jellyfish, and so I agree with the Doodleman, and the publishing of a book, because each letter looks like it's waiting for it's story to be told.
was never big on the bull, one of the most controversal Sioux of his time but he always wore a cool hat when he got older. You captured his pic nicley. and see u have more staying power then me with your abc's and continues to look good, mine have taken a break. michael dailey
