Illustration Friday: Blue
Sat and thought about the topic 'blue' for quite awhile. It was my wife who suggested that I do a take on the Blues. "But," she said, "that's plural; not singular 'blue.'" I disregarded her objection and went with it. So here's my humble tribute to legendary Bluesman Lightnin' Hopkins (1912-1982). Thanks for the music and the sincerity, Lightnin'.

This is a great representation of "blue."
Love how everything is blue in your drawing- great way to set a mood. Takes me to a place he's alone and playing somewhere in the dark on a stormy night. Very nice composition as well. The lighting is the perfect way to give away who he is and adds so much interest. Great work!
That's great. Wonderful illo.
Excellent tribute indeed. I love the lightening. Very creative. Well done.
You did a really spectacular job on the shading of his face. You can almost hear the moody music when yuo look at it. Great Illustration.
Very bluesy! I love how he stands out against the lightning-glow background. Excellent, sketchy lines and nice shading. Good job:>
