Illustration Friday: Tea

Another week; another flimsy excuse. Busy on deadline stuff for brochures and print jobs and such. So... not a lot of time for new creations. This dude to the left was drawn a few years ago, based on someone I saw at a coffee bar earlier in the day.

I was looking for some inspiration for the 'tea' topic and ran across a quote from C.S.Lewis about there being no such thing as a cup of tea too big or a book too long. That reminded me of this guy. I found him, added a little tea string/tab thingie, and there you have it.

I apologize that I haven't gotten around to visiting the blogs of folks I try to check in on weekly. I'm getting to it, albeit slowly.

Peace to everyone. Take it easy on the caffiene intake.

Turned out well with your creative additive!

Old or new it's a well done character as usual. I wonder what the chances are of this person stumbling by this site and saying, "hey, that looks kinda like me..." ;-)

I like this! The angle of view makes it interesting. I am too busy too.... so I am in the same boat, BUT, I can recognise TWISSELMAN on the list! Oh, and I am currently reading a book about CS Lewis... one of my favorite people

I love the way his face is rendered the same way as the mug. Thanks for the tea!

LOL. He looks very close to his mug of tea, there might be wedding bells in their future. I really like the slick roundness of this character, he looks wholesome, but , just a little bit crazed. I Marvel at your artwork, as usual.

Twissel...I LOVE this one.
You do such great stuff.

CS Lewis, is in the air.
May I join and have a cuppa?
I will bring my kleenex!

Sniffle,
The Tart

Great illo!

Fun illo. I could use one of those large mugs of tea, except I'll have black coffee. Couldn't survive without my daily intake of caffeine. It's the only way I can make it through the day after I've stayed up entirely too long working on my IF entry. Priorities, you know.

I think this is great! I just hope he knows that the beverage he's about to enjoy is very hot... As for checking the bolgs..whew..didn't you remark on that last week! It's almost impossible...there's so many entries. Good luck with your many obligations, and don't worry about showing old stuff...it's all good!

this is still wonderful even if it is older stuff. it's still good. i know what you mean about time this week.
I need to get going myself here. You asked about Bound and Lettered. it's a magazine. your sister who does calligraphy just might like it or already knows of it. there is a link from my post you commented on to bound and lettered.

Like your perspective on here. Whenever you're pushed for time don't hesitate to post old stuff. ..::)

There's a guy who's really enamored of his tea! A deft depiction of a caffeinaholic expertly wrought!

I agree...doesn't matter if it's older stuff...I like this little guy!I don't have the real excuse of a busy schedule like you, I've simply been uninspired the last few weeks. Hopefully something will come to me before the deadline...I'd hate to miss another week!
