Illustration Friday- Clandestine

Stereotypical cloak and dagger, Spy vs. Spy stuff comes to mind when I think of the word 'clandestine.' Dark alleys, microfilm, and the like.

This past year has been somewhat of a drag for my household, which is why I haven't been posting to Illustration Friday... too many time-consuming unpleasantries. But we still count our blessings, which are many, no matter what comes our way.

Here's to a better New Year. Peace to all, and keep your eyes open for shady characters.

I feel like this is a clandestine meeting...it's been a while!

I hope the unpleasantries have ceased and life is back on track.
It's been a tough year for nearly everyone I know.

I hope your heart is filled with all the happiness it can hold for 2009! Nice to "see" you :)

Yup, it's enough to make one feel like hiding out in a clandestine way. Nice image.

Is it a gender thing? Men thinking spies, women thinking love affairs, when given the word 'clandestine'.

This was the first thought I had when I saw the topic. Nicely done, as always. Thanks for the comment on "Rambunctious" and it's good to see you again. I sincerely hope you have a great 2009 and that the troubles of 2008 are behind you.

good to see you and your art again.
Hoping your 09 is better and brighter for you and your family. Then as LoLo said we wont have to be having these clandestine meetings.

Great spy-clandestine one!
Although at my first sight I thought it was a gorilla profile!?!
Happy new year full of drawings!

Ooh, I like that dark alley, spy take on it!
I hope things are looking up for you in 2009!Maybe we will both get back in the swing of things. I'm still out of the Illo Fri loop... ( I have added a Flickr button to my site, though). I'll fill my time taking pictures until I remember how to draw again. :)
Happy New Year to you and yours!

I think you are as mysterious as your "clandestine" gentleman is, and I don't know why I think that, i've always thought it. If I pulled the hat off of the gentleman, and whipped his collar down, it would be your face, well eyes and glasses anyway, the nose and mouth, who cares,I don't know what they look like.

Beautiful, moody, illo Twisselman. I hope this new year is better for you and yours.
