Illustration Friday: Flavor

"There's nothing like unrequited love to take all the flavor out of a peanut butter sandwich."
-Charles Schulz

This 'flavor' subject has so many possibilities, it was hard for me to narrow the choices down: summertime strawberries from the Salinas Valley, a good glass of pinot noir, any of the famous 31 ice cream flavors. When I have trouble choosing just one, I start searching the quotation sites. Found some good quotes, but this one from a Peanuts strip especially touched me. Not that I'm suffering from unrequited love... at least I don't think so... we'd have to ask my wife. No, I'm particularly fond of peanut butter. I could probably live off the stuff. I can't imagine it losing its flavor. Life would be hard.

Great charlie quote. Peanut butter is a definite must-especially with jam! Well done.

This is sooooo true! For the past ten years or so music has lost all it's "flavour" for me. I guess it will never come back.
Fantastic illo!

Don't know how I missed your previous Illustration Friday posts (blame the season) but I'm happy to see them now. You have such a great perspectve (and I don't mean the drawing kind). And I, too, would've been tempted to "do peanut butter" if I'd done something for the topic. Great work!

Now I know how I missed them -- yo don't publish an RSS feed. Shame on you. :)

Shame your dog ate the miraculous image of itself, but the world probably is'nt ready for that yet. For me it was either pancakes or a foodfight for this. Your image is a homage to your craving. Knife left in a jar of peanut butter, like Excalibur waiting to be drawn forth once again to weald peanuts and butter stealthily onto another and another and another big wedge. Chunky and charming.....::::-)

Another peanut butter kid! Join the club :) It's ban from schools in Australia because of some having serious allergies so we have peanut butter sandwiches every afternoon. I'm ignoring the quote because can't see beyond the scrumptious ooze of your image - minus the writing which does however ooze itself. Looks edible!

What a great illo (I love that font) and a really cool quote! Yes, peanut butter is the best, but second to almond butter in my book.

And just think of how horrible life would have to be if NUTELLA lost its appeal. Quotes can trigger ideas, can't they? Thanks for finding this one!

This is great, the illo and the quote!!! You are very talented!

My hub feels the same about peanut butter, same brand you drew, too. But chunky. Me...I'm happy with one pb sani a year or so. But for him, I have to shop at Costco for it.

But ya got me thinking about those Salinas Strawberries...

MMMM, I love peanut butter, too. My favorite thing is peanut butter fudge. I don't make it too often, because I can't stop at one piece.
